Internal Tools Engineer

Sobre el puesto

• Own and take over the internal platform used by operations, finance, and delivery teams
• Learn the running systems, document them properly, and make them dependable and independent of any single person
• Build data capture and reporting so leadership can access important business numbers
• Convert spreadsheet-based workflows into platform systems, one workflow at a time
• Identify the most costly business constraints and prioritize the highest-impact fixes
• Provide short weekly written updates, clear dates, and early warnings about delays
• Work directly with the founder without management layers

• You have been the engineer an operations team depended on. Ideally you were early at a startup and built the internal systems the company ran on.
• You are a strong writer. You can explain a technical tradeoff to a non-technical reader in a paragraph, and your status updates are short, specific and on time.
• You are operations-minded before you are engineering-minded. You would rather ship the boring fix that saves ten hours a week than the elegant one that saves none.
• You have real range: application development, integrations between third-party tools, data modelling, and enough infrastructure to keep your own work running.
• You are effective with AI tooling and use it to move at a multiple of normal pace.
• You are genuinely autonomous and reliable when remote. You set your own priorities, you follow through, and you flag problems before they land on someone else.
• You handle sensitive data and money-adjacent workflows with discretion and care.
• Bonus: Having inherited an undocumented system from a departing engineer and made it dependable
• Bonus: Experience in operations-heavy businesses: logistics, field services, fintech onboarding, marketplaces, or physical or financial workflows
• Bonus: Payments, reconciliation, or multi-account financial tooling
• Bonus: Familiarity with Notion, Discord, Google Workspace, Airtable, and lightweight project management tools
• Bonus: Interest in startups, investing, alternative markets, or behavioral strategy

• Own an entire function from day one, working directly with a high-caliber founder
• No red tape. You propose an improvement and you ship it
• Shape how a fast-growing company is built from the ground up
• Competitive compensation based on experience
• Fully remote with flexible hours
