GL Accountant, EMEA

• Perform end-to-end recording of financial transactions and deliver accurate, compliant financial statements
• Perform monthly and year-end close and report to the global accounting team
• Perform local statutory reporting and filings
• Cooperate with FP&A operations and sales for planning, forecasting, and control
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for German and international entities
• Post manual journal entries and accruals accurately and timely
• Perform intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform variance analysis
• Prepare local financial statements according to German HGB
• Convert and reconcile local ledgers into US GAAP group reporting standards
• Coordinate with local tax advisors for VAT filings and corporate tax packs
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to shorten the close cycle
• Standardize and automate workflows using ERP tools such as Netsuite, Tipalti, and Emburse

• 3–5 years of professional experience in accounting
• Solid knowledge of accounting processes and practices
• Strong understanding of business processes and interdependencies
• Analytical and logical thinking
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• High level of commercial and cost awareness
• German at B2–C1 level, required
• Strong business proficiency in English, written and verbal, required
• Legal right to work in the country where the position is based
