QA Engineer – APIs & Integration

• Plan, design, and execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman, Insomnia, or equivalent tools.
• Build requests and interpret responses, headers, HTTP status codes, and JSON payloads.
• Test endpoints using different HTTP methods, authentication mechanisms, and error scenarios.
• Validate integrations with external systems and APIs, webhooks, and asynchronous workflows.
• Query logs and observability tools to investigate failures.
• Correlate requests, logs, events, and responses across different components.
• Support customers, partners, and external teams in investigating integration issues.
• Reproduce issues and provide technical evidence for the development team.
• Distinguish platform issues from configuration, integration, or external system errors.
• Monitor messages and end-to-end operations across the platform.
• Participate in refinement sessions, identifying risks and test scenarios.
• Define quality criteria and evidence for new features.
• Contribute to test automation, regression suites, and Quality Gates in CI/CD.
• Participate in the strategy and Quality Plans for the Unified Broker.
• Collaborate with Development, Tech Leads, Product, Infrastructure, and other QA teams.
• Contribute to the quality and evolution of an omnichannel communications platform based on microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Provide technical support to customers, partners, and external teams integrating with the Broker.

• Experience as a QA, QA Engineer, Software Tester, or in an equivalent role.
• Experience testing REST APIs and knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS fundamentals.
• Ability to interpret HTTP status codes, headers, and JSON payloads.
• Experience with Postman, Insomnia, or an equivalent tool.
• Ability to create and execute requests using Postman and/or cURL.
• Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as Bearer Token, API Key, JWT, or OAuth.
• Experience with functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Ability to query and interpret application logs.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data investigation and validation.
• Ability to investigate issues involving multiple systems.
• Experience documenting test scenarios, test cases, and test evidence.
• Knowledge of Git and software development processes.
• Ability to understand technical API documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with technical teams and customers.
• An up-to-date résumé in Word format detailing the required hands-on experience.
