Technical Talent Partner

• Map technical talent markets and identify suitable candidates
• Use AI to map talent pools, surface candidates, draft outreach, and scale recruiting
• Screen candidates to establish personal ownership, decisions made, and lessons learned
• Partner with hiring managers to define roles and hiring standards
• Calibrate screening with the technical team and filter candidates for technical interviews
• Build a referral engine and grow the candidate roster
• Shape and run events with venture capital firms and technical communities in India, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and the US
• Communicate the value of social-sector work to candidates who may earn more in industry
• Manage compensation conversations, counteroffers, and candidate engagement through start dates
• Track candidate sources, drop-off points, and stage durations
• Improve and document the recruiting playbook
• Hire for the Agency Fund’s technical team and funded technology nonprofits

• 5+ years recruiting technical roles, including at least 2 years in-house at a product company
• Ability to discuss with engineers or product managers what they built and assess the strength of their answers
• Experience designing screening questions and explaining what each tests
• Strong sourcing in Indian technical markets
• Experience building something with AI that changed how you work, including describing automation, time saved, and limitations
• Comfortable working with several hiring managers simultaneously, with different standards and budgets
• Sourcing experience in African markets (helpful)
• Technical background of any depth, including informal experience (helpful)
• Experience recruiting for an organization that was not the highest bidder or was not yet well known (helpful)
• Based in India or willing to relocate to India
