Senior Java Backend Developer

• Develop software by writing code for applications, programs, and systems according to project specifications and requirements
• Test developed software, identify and fix issues, bugs, and failures
• Ensure the quality of deliverables, adherence to deadlines, and customer satisfaction
• Document code to facilitate maintenance and updates
• Support the development team through technical guidance and leadership in delivering solutions
• Develop efficient, scalable, and maintainable solutions
• Research and adopt new technologies to improve performance and efficiency
• Track and monitor production systems, identifying issues and implementing solutions

• Programming Language Certification (preferred)
• Cloud Certification (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Technology or a related field
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence applied to development, including Devin, Cursor, or Gemini; AI API integration; LLM concepts; and best practices for adopting AI in backend applications
• Knowledge of Java 8, 11, and 21
• Knowledge of Spring Boot
• Knowledge of microservices and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of SQL Server and Sybase
• Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
• Knowledge of Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ
• Experience working in teams using agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, or Kanban)
• Clear, responsive communication and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of creating and monitoring batch processing, preferably with Spring Batch
• Experience with system integration patterns
