Senior Lecturer, Gender Studies

• Independently teach courses at Bachelor’s and Master’s level
• Support the preparation and supervision of Master’s theses
• Contribute to the development and further development of course and assessment formats
• Keep up to date with current research and scholarship
• Undertake continuing professional development in teaching and learning
• Take on research assignments during lecture-free periods
• Perform administrative duties, particularly in the administration of teaching
• Contribute to teaching on the interdisciplinary Master’s programme in Gender Studies
• Offer courses spanning the thematic, methodological, and practical breadth of the curriculum, with a subject-matter focus on the social sciences

• Completed doctorate in Gender Studies or in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary gender research within another discipline
• Knowledge of current epistemological and methodological approaches in gender theory is preferred
• Several years of independent teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution
• Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and for university teaching
• Ability to work collaboratively and willingness to coordinate course content with colleagues in line with the requirements of the degree programme
• Excellent spoken and written German and English
• Applicants qualified to supervise Master’s theses, including habilitated candidates, are expressly encouraged to apply
