Back-End Developer

• Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices using Spring Boot
• Work with legacy systems (Struts, Servlets, JSP, and PrimeFaces)
• Implement containers with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes
• Develop data-streaming solutions with Kafka and Kafka Streams
• Ensure code quality by following best practices and conducting testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional QA, DevOps, and Product Owner teams
• Document processes and architectural decisions
• Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production environments
• Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Experience in software engineering, with relevant experience in Java and/or JVM-based languages
• Experience developing and operating systems using Java, microservices, and APIs (Spring Boot, Node.js)
• Knowledge of service containerization (Docker and Kubernetes, including on-premises Kubernetes and AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift)
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam)
• Knowledge of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, BDD, and Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• Experience with private and public cloud environments: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong focus on quality and best practices, with a commitment to writing readable, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes
