Senior Software Engineer – Mobile

• Provide strong technical influence within the team by sharing knowledge of architectural patterns and code design
• Support the team’s software engineers
• Help raise the team’s technical standards while remaining hands-on with the code
• Develop new features and improve Stone’s mobile platform ecosystem
• Work cross-functionally on major projects with the Interaction Platform team
• Help the company build out its platforms and adopt mobile development best practices
• Handle ambiguous problems and challenging prioritization, balancing deadlines and quality
• Participate in solution-detail decisions and help resolve complex problems
• Ensure product/platform quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices
• Promote knowledge sharing and mentoring
• Provide visibility into the team’s work
• Define, collect, analyze, and monitor application/product health metrics
• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and refinement sessions
• Identify opportunities to improve the mobile platform, processes, and developer experience

• Hands-on experience with KMP (Kotlin Multiplatform) is essential
• Strong Android development experience, including Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns and code design, using consistent and well-documented coding standards
• Knowledge of modular architecture and componentization
• Knowledge of unit, integration, and functional testing
• Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and debugging systems
• Ability to integrate RESTful APIs, cloud services such as Firebase, local and remote data storage, authentication, and push notifications
• Knowledge of CI/CD structures and automated pipelines
• Experience publishing apps to the Play Store and/or App Store
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Ability to influence priority-setting and estimate timelines together with the team
• Experience working in a robust, scalable architecture environment
• Ability to communicate concisely, candidly, and clearly, both verbally and in writing
