Sales Account Manager – Consumables

• Drive existing and/or new sales across different accounts and industries in the designated territory
• Develop accounts and maintain positive, ongoing long-term relationships with key customers
• Understand customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard tasks and queries to create business opportunities
• Promote and sell products and/or solutions to current or new customers
• Inform customers of new product introductions
• Create, monitor and revise lead generation plans
• Determine and develop approaches to sales assignments to achieve quotas and strategies
• Lead projects requiring coordination with other functions and organizations
• Travel to customer sites across North Italy, especially the Lombardian region
• Drive the success of Agilent’s Chemistries & Supplies consumables portfolio, including GC and HPLC columns, sample preparation solutions, spectroscopy and laboratory supplies

• University degree in Chemistry (preferably Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry) or another Life Sciences-related field.
• Experience in sales to laboratory environments, preferably with a strong focus on the Pharma and Biopharma industries, and good knowledge of laboratory workflows
• Good knowledge of analytical techniques such as chromatography, spectrometry and/or spectroscopy
• Full proficiency in Italian and at least good level of English
• Autonomous, outgoing and customer-focused
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills to interact with many external and internal partners
• Can-do attitude and resilience
• Flexible and adaptable
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
• Availability to travel 50% of the time
• Ability to work remotely combined with travel to customer sites across North Italy
