Key Account Manager

• Develop local account plans aligned to the national brand plan and achieve sales growth
• Manage activity and performance for the Lombardia Ovest region
• Use advanced selling skills with surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Uncover customer needs related to the Oncotype DX assay and move customers along the adoption pathway
• Build relationships with non-clinical customers to demonstrate the value of Oncotype DX to the National Health System
• Operate autonomously with full accountability for the region and prioritize activities for maximum return
• Differentiate Oncotype DX from competitors and implement effective account strategies
• Pursue agreed commercial objectives developed with the Sales Manager Italy
• Interact with stakeholders across Italy’s oncology community, especially breast cancer stakeholders
• Provide logistical support to key personnel within Designated Cancer Centers for efficient Oncotype DX ordering
• Maintain technical fluency in genomic testing, company products, disease states, and competitor strengths and weaknesses
• Move target physicians and influencers toward actions that increase patient access and product utilization
• Attend sales meetings and professional conferences
• Work closely with sales management and marketing to communicate product sales and marketing messages
• Provide feedback to national, regional, and area teams
• Work with the European Commercial team to ensure product access
• 5 years sales experience in premium products with a strong record of success promoting complex products in medical oncology and/or diagnostics, ideally in breast cancer, in the region
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and decision makers across the National Health System, including reimbursement
• Strong knowledge of KOLs in the Region, including Oncologists, Pathologists, Procurement and Key Decision Makers
• Proven large territory and key account management skills
• Deep understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, clinical research and diagnostics in cancer
• Excellent understanding of cancer care in the Italian public healthcare sector
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, at all levels of the National Health System
• Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically
• Self-starter with experience working in smaller organizations or divisions within a larger healthcare company; autonomous and entrepreneurial approach
• Willingness to travel to national meetings 3–4 times per year, with possible international congresses, overnight stays, and evening/weekend meetings
• Clean Italian Driver’s license
• Successful completion of all training programs
• A life science degree/genomics/clinical experience is a plus
• Strong business use of the English Language is preferred
• Market access, marketing, leadership, training, or other non-sales role experience would be a plus
