Senior Backend Engineer, Python – Full-Stack Mindset

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using Python
• Build end-to-end software solutions leveraging Databricks, including application components, integrations, and backend services
• Design and implement REST APIs and integrate backend systems with external services
• Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions, primarily using AWS
• Own technical solutions from requirements analysis and architecture design through implementation and deployment
• Contribute to frontend development when needed, including modern JavaScript frameworks
• Leverage AI-powered development tools and AI-assisted coding practices
• Explore AI-driven automation in software development processes
• Build prototypes, validate technical concepts, and deliver scalable solutions
• Participate in technical planning, solution design, testing, code reviews, and architectural discussions
• Collaborate with cross-functional, international teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, and performance optimization
• Promote engineering best practices, clean code, maintainability, and modern software development standards
• Participate in a recruitment process consisting of a 30-minute recruiter screening call, a 1-hour technical call, and a 1-hour manager call

• Minimum 6 years of commercial experience in Python backend development
• Senior-level software engineering skills and ability to independently design, develop, and deliver complex technical solutions
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, REST APIs, distributed systems, and software design principles
• Experience with cloud-based application development, preferably AWS
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming, clean code principles, and software engineering best practices
• Experience with CI/CD processes, version control systems, and modern development practices
• Willingness to work with frontend technologies and contribute to frontend development when required
• AI-first mindset and openness to AI-assisted development tools, automation, and emerging technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and solution-oriented approach
• Ability to take ownership of technical decisions while considering scalability, performance, maintainability, and business requirements
• Advanced English communication skills, written and spoken
• Familiarity with Databricks, including basic knowledge of the platform and its capabilities
• Practical experience with React, Vue.js, Angular, or other modern JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or other AI-assisted development tools
• Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
• Experience with AI agents, agentic coding workflows, or AI-powered development automation
• Experience designing technical solutions from scratch or contributing to architectural decisions
