Data Engineer – AI-Driven Data Platform

• Co-own the Data area of the media-planning platform with engineers and client relations
• Own the end-to-end data flow from advertising-platform APIs to analytics powering media plans, dashboards, and billing-grade reports
• Maintain connectors to Meta, TikTok, Google Ads/DV360, Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, Adform, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
• Keep client data flowing through provider endpoint, field, and limit changes
• Model and normalize data using dbt and SQL
• Implement data-quality practices including deduplication, freshness checks, and reconciliation with platform-reported data
• Keep nightly client pipelines reliable and investigate incidents to root cause
• Distinguish provider outages, client setup issues, and product defects, and document findings
• Extend the multi-tenant semantic layer with new metrics and row-level security
• Help build the lakehouse platform
• Collaborate with users, client relations, and other teams
• Help shape engineering processes for AI coding agents

• Solid experience building and running production data pipelines from third-party APIs to curated, reportable data
• Very good knowledge of Python, especially third-party HTTP API integrations, including pagination, rate limits, authentication, token refresh, and error semantics
• Very good knowledge of SQL
• Solid experience with dbt, including incremental models and tests
• Good knowledge of a relational database such as PostgreSQL
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor
• Clear written communication
• Strong focus on data quality, testing, and architecture
• Comfortable working directly with users and documenting findings
• Fluent in English and/or German; English is the company language
• Work permission and residence in Germany, or willingness to relocate to Germany
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Trino, Iceberg, ClickHouse, Airbyte, Cube.js, Kubernetes/Terraform, Elixir, Ruby, or media/advertising is a plus
