Sales Support Engineer

• Provide technical support to the sales team and system integrator ecosystem for adoption of Distech Controls solutions
• Manage technical relationships with customers and carry out actions on site
• Support solution presentations, demonstrations, and customer onboarding
• Lead physical or remote meetings for system integrators on technical developments, solution design, and new product introductions
• Support system integrators on initial, strategic, and new-product projects
• Design content and lead information sessions with design offices throughout Italy
• Share project experience and skills with technical support and training teams
• Contribute to future product evolution with R&D and Product Management
• Participate in product launches and commercial events, including webinars, trade shows, roadshows, and partner/customer meetings
• Independently manage projects and involve relevant departments as needed
• Report periodically to the European Sales Support Engineer Manager based in Brignais, France

• Engineer or equivalent with at least 5 years' experience in building automation
• Programming knowledge in PLC languages of various brands
• Proficiency in BMS systems and building communication protocols
• Knowledge of BACnet and Modbus; LonWorks and Niagara are a plus
• Knowledge of IoT and IT protocols, API REST, JSON, MQTT, IoT Hub, and Node-RED
• Knowledge of IT networks and cybersecurity standards
• Knowledge of cloud architectures and principles
• Ability to connect field requests with OT/IT/EDGE/CLOUD solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good English level is essential
• Recognized pedagogical approach and ability to work in a team and manage priorities
• Willingness to travel in the region 40% of the time
