People Operations & Payroll Specialist, Belgium & France

• Prepare monthly payroll for Belgium and France
• Collect and check variable payroll inputs, including salary increases, on-call allowances, meal vouchers, absences and time tracking
• Handle country-specific payroll elements, including holiday pay, France’s prime de vacances, Belgium’s mobility budget and cafeteria plan
• Act as first point of contact for the external payroll provider
• Follow up on payroll questions, corrections and deadlines
• Review payroll calculations and bank files under the four-eyes principle
• Ensure final payroll reports are available to Finance on time
• Handle declarations and certificates for parental leave, birth and maternity leave, career breaks/time credit and long-term sickness
• Follow up with the Belgian National Employment Office (RVA/ONEM), health insurance funds and French authorities such as CPAM
• Answer payroll and HR questions from employees and managers in Belgium and France
• Monitor Belgian and French labor and social security legislation and translate changes into practice
• Identify payroll-chain bottlenecks and propose improvements
• Create and update processes and fact sheets, including sick-leave and offboarding documentation

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in payroll or HR administration, preferably in an international environment
• Good knowledge of Belgian payroll and social security legislation
• Knowledge of French payroll is a strong asset
• Experience managing an external payroll provider or social secretariat
• Experience with Deel or SD Worx is a plus
• Fluent spoken and written Dutch, French and English
• Accurate, numerically oriented, and able to manage deadlines independently
• Process-oriented mindset with the ability to identify improvements and implement them
• Clear communication and willingness to ask follow-up questions
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
