Semi-Senior Front-end Engineer – Entertainment

• Build pages and reusable React/Next.js components for the new front-end
• Turn designs into responsive, accessible UI
• Connect components to headless CMS content and backend APIs
• Write unit and component tests
• Participate in code reviews, planning and estimations
• Deliver well-defined features independently from ticket through merged and tested code
• Raise blockers and ask questions when needed
• Use enterprise AI tools and AI assistants to support coding, refactoring, testing and debugging while critically reviewing their output
• Build a new headless front-end for an independent global news organization
• Collaborate with two senior engineers on pages and components for an initial launch

• 3+ years of front-end engineering experience
• Solid React experience
• Practical Next.js experience in production, including having shipped at least one Next.js project
• Understanding of SSR/SSG and routing basics
• TypeScript experience
• Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
• Ability to build responsive, accessible UI from design specs
• Experience writing unit and component tests, ideally with Jest and React Testing Library
• Recent, regular use of AI coding assistants such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude or ChatGPT
• Headless CMS experience
• Integration testing experience
• Reliable internet connection
