Senior Accountant - UK Clients

• Prepare and review UK year end accounts, corporation tax computations and CT600s, and VAT returns under Making Tax Digital
• Review accountants’ and bookkeeper’s work within a five-person pod
• Explain corrections and help team members get work right the first time
• Chase UK clients for missing records
• Escalate potential deadline risks to the Senior Accounts Manager
• Email UK clients directly to request information or explain requirements
• Maintain accurate client records and workflow data
• Use and help shape AI tools in products and workflows
• Support approximately 300 UK small business clients initially, growing to around 500 through 2027
• Work with a UK-based Senior Accounts Manager and existing UK teams until the new manager starts

• At least part-qualified: CA or CA Intermediate (India), CPA (Philippines), or ACCA member, or all ACCA Applied Skills papers passed
• At least 4 years in accounting
• At least 2 years preparing UK year end accounts, CT600s and VAT returns for small businesses in a UK practice or outsourcing firm
• At least 1 year reviewing other accountants’ or bookkeepers’ work
• Confident with Xero, QuickBooks or a similar cloud accounting package
• Written English sufficient to email UK clients directly
• Based in India or the Philippines, with the right to work there
• Able to work a shift overlapping UK business hours
• Knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105
• Knowledge of Making Tax Digital and VAT returns
• Willingness to use and help shape AI tools
• Ability to meet background screening requirements, including education, criminal history, political exposure, and bankruptcy or adverse credit checks
