Senior Java Team Lead

• Lead the design and hands-on implementation of scalable APIs, distributed systems, and backend services for high-availability applications
• Own the full software development lifecycle from architecture and technical design through implementation, automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support
• Maintain and optimize systems for performance, scalability, security, and reliability at scale
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and developers to translate business goals into scalable technical solutions
• Provide technical leadership through coding, code reviews, architecture guidance, design discussions, mentoring, task breakdown, and engineering best practices
• Set and uphold technical excellence and production-readiness standards, including clean architecture, resilient design, quality gates, release discipline, operational ownership, and pragmatic technical decisions
• Design and evolve event-driven architectures and asynchronous integrations using Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and related messaging patterns
• Improve shared libraries, internal platforms, developer tooling, CI/CD workflows, and observability solutions
• Promote responsible AI adoption across development and SDLC activities to improve code quality, testing, documentation, productivity, and delivery predictability
• Shape architecture, engineering standards, culture, code quality, delivery practices, and team effectiveness for the main R&D team in Prishtina

• 6+ years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Java and object-oriented design, including at least 2–3 years in a technical lead or team lead role
• Advanced practical experience with Spring Boot and the Spring ecosystem, including building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Solid knowledge of design patterns, system architecture, distributed systems, and scalability principles
• Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and message-driven systems using Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ, including producers, consumers, topics, retries, dead-letter handling, and idempotent processing
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms
• Comfortable with automated unit, integration, and performance testing
• Demonstrated experience building, operating, troubleshooting, and continuously improving production-grade, high-load systems
• Strong focus on technical excellence, production readiness, observability, monitoring, alerting, and shared development infrastructure
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication skills and hands-on team lead experience with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset
• Experience applying AI-assisted development practices across the SDLC
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Preferred: experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, event and message schema evolution, delivery guarantees, distributed transaction patterns, observability platforms, incident response practices, and performance tuning for distributed systems
