Accounting Team Lead

• Manage the accrual side of accounting for key company operations, including loan-related income and expenses, in accordance with US GAAP
• Contribute to monthly and yearly financial reporting
• Lead two Accounting Analysts and ensure accurate, timely work by the 10-business-day closing deadline
• Determine appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions and events
• Prepare FAS 91 working papers for deferred income and expense accounting
• Reconcile loan collections with bank activity and post accounting entries
• Calculate asset resolution gains and losses
• Account for interest expense and interest income
• Account for prepaid expenses
• Account for loan suspense adjustments and loan-related income and expenses
• Prepare balance-sheet account reconciliations
• Post loan activity, including loan collections, debt payments, and interest payments
• Review analysts’ work weekly
• Prepare weekly asset-resolution gain/loss calculations and account for related activity

• Graduation/Post-Graduation in Accounting
• Intermediate Chartered Accountancy (Inter-CA)
• 5–10 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge and practical experience applying US GAAP
• Experience with financial reporting and accounting processes
• Experience leading or supervising accounting team members
• Must be available to work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Eastern Time
• Must have a stable internet connection and professional remote working setup
• Resume/CV must be submitted in English
• Preferred background/industry experience in Banking, Real Estate, or service-based businesses located in the United States
• Technical skills: US GAAP, Sage 300, LAPRO, Advanced Excel, Power BI, financial reporting, and accounting ERP systems
