Cloud Operations Architect

• Align customer needs with cloud solutions and infrastructure management
• Proactively solve complex cloud and compute issues for customers on Akamai Connected Cloud
• Develop operational support cadences and workflows as part of the Global Cloud Operations team
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, and other cross-functional teams
• Solve challenges, identify deficiencies, and assess the stability of customer cloud workflows
• Guide and mentor the front-line team with technical guidance
• Ensure customers receive top-quality resolution
• Contribute to cloud and compute expertise through training, tech talks, and knowledge base articles

• 4+ years of experience supporting and orchestrating the public cloud, serverless platforms, and microservices
• A degree in CS or related field
• Good understanding of cloud concepts, with problem-solving skills in VMs, Kubernetes, Networking, Security, Storage, and Databases
• Expertise in networking concepts, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, CDN, and load balancing
• Knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and observability
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing role
