IoT Engineer – Smart City

• Develop and work on end-to-end IoT integrations for Smart City solutions
• Create adapters, decoders, and integration services using Python or Java
• Deploy solutions in Docker containers, on-premises or in the cloud
• Work with devices, gateways, networks, and IoT platforms
• Handle device provisioning, telemetry, commands, and payload encoding
• Implement IoT security measures, including authentication, TLS, and certificates
• Integrate camera events and video analytics
• Work with edge computing, REST APIs, data platforms, and infrastructure components
• Contribute to Smart City use cases, such as mobility, parking, lighting, energy, waste management, the environment, and public safety

• Knowledge of end-to-end IoT reference architecture: devices, gateways, networks, and platform
• Proficiency in at least one programming language for integrations (Python or Java), including adapters, decoders, and integration services
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments (on-premises or in the cloud)
• Advanced English proficiency
• Knowledge of MQTT (topics, QoS, brokers, and security)
• Device provisioning, telemetry and commands, and payload encoding
• IoT security: device authentication, TLS, and certificates
• Knowledge of FIWARE / Orion-LD Context Broker, NGSI-LD, and Smart Data Models
• Knowledge of ThingsBoard
• Edge computing (gateways and local processing)
• Integration of camera events and video analytics
• REST APIs, JSON / JSON-LD, Linux system administration, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Apache Flink, PostgreSQL, and Superset
• Knowledge of Smart City use cases
• LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, Azure IoT, city digital twins, and public cloud services are desirable
• University degree
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience
