Senior Network Analyst, Packet Broker, Anti-DDoS

• Operate, administer, monitor, and enhance cyberattack protection mechanisms, with a focus on DDoS, traffic analysis, and incident response
• Monitor and analyze security events related to DDoS attacks and traffic anomalies
• Operate and administer NSFOCUS Anti-DDoS solutions
• Perform traffic analysis to identify anomalous and malicious behavior
• Detect, analyze, and mitigate volumetric, protocol, and application-layer attacks
• Configure and tune Anti-DDoS policies, rules, thresholds, and mitigation mechanisms
• Analyze bps, pps, sessions, connections, source/destination IPs, and protocols
• Use NTA tools to investigate anomalies and identify attack patterns
• Correlate information from NTA, Anti-DDoS, firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, NetFlow/sFlow, and other telemetry sources
• Support security incident investigation and response
• Troubleshoot outages, performance degradation, and network attacks
• Assess false positives and adjust detection and mitigation mechanisms
• Track security and availability indicators and metrics
• Prepare technical and post-incident reports covering root cause, impact, containment, and recommendations
• Work with Network, SOC, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Telecom teams during critical incidents
• Develop and review operating procedures, playbooks, and incident response plans
• Support contingency, capacity, and DDoS attack resilience testing
• Keep technical documentation on topology, flows, policies, and mitigation procedures up to date

• Practical experience with DDoS attack concepts and techniques
• Knowledge of volumetric, protocol, and application-layer attacks
• Knowledge of L3/L4/L7 mitigation
• Knowledge of TCP SYN Flood, UDP Flood, ICMP Flood, DNS Flood, and HTTP Flood attacks
• Knowledge of BPS and PPS
• Knowledge of blackholing/RTBH, rate limiting, traffic filters, and ACLs
• Knowledge of on-premises, cloud, and hybrid mitigation architectures
• Knowledge of scrubbing centers and traffic redirection
• Knowledge of BGP and traffic diversion/attraction mechanisms
• Experience with the NSFOCUS Anti-DDoS solution, including operation, monitoring, configuration, event analysis, mitigation, troubleshooting, reporting, and integration
• Solid knowledge of NTA (Network Traffic Analysis), including NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, flow analysis, anomalies, baselines, Top Talkers, protocols, ports, and traffic volumes
• Ability to identify scanning, flooding, anomalous communication, and suspicious lateral traffic
• Ability to correlate network events with security incidents
• Knowledge of BGP FlowSpec
• Knowledge of Wireshark
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Networks, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP
• Preferred certification: Fortinet Certified Solution Specialist (FCSS) Network Security
• Experience with application firewalls, IDS/IPS, and cloud mitigation services
