Staff Software Engineer, Frontend

• Own the frontend end to end, including architecture, conventions, quality standards and production behavior of a multi-brand platform
• Make adding a brand a configuration change through theming, brand-aware routing and content, and boundaries between shared and brand-specific code
• Build and own the design system and component library used by engineers, designers and AI-assisted prototyping
• Turn product prototypes into production features quickly
• Build workflow and tooling to make prototype-to-production delivery repeatable
• Use AI coding agents daily with quality checks that maintain standards at agent speed
• Establish best practices for how others use AI coding agents
• Ship consumer-facing UI with attention to detail, performance and accessibility
• Raise UX and product concerns with product owners using alternatives and working examples
• Work as an individual contributor with end-to-end product ownership and accountability for production behavior

• 8+ years building production consumer-facing web applications, several of them at Staff or equivalent ownership
• Experience taking a frontend from a rough brief to production and owning it after launch
• Extensive use of AI coding agents as a primary development method, with an established setup and quality controls
• Deep expertise in React, Next.js and modern TypeScript
• Clear opinions on rendering strategies and when each is inappropriate
• Hands-on experience building or re-architecting multi-brand, multi-tenant or white-label frontends
• Experience building or owning a design system and component library
• Strong UI and UX sensibility
• Experience working with non-engineers who build with AI tools
• Demonstrable Core Web Vitals work in production
• Ability to work autonomously with light process and write clearly
• Strong command of written and verbal English
• Nice to have: real-time, high-interaction consumer interface experience
• Nice to have: fintech, crypto, real-time gaming, entertainment or other high-traffic consumer product background
• Nice to have: tooling, skills or integrations improving agent performance in a codebase or design system
• Nice to have: working knowledge of CI/CD and cloud environments
