Senior Technical Sales Consultant

• Meet and/or exceed company sales budgets in a designated territory for assigned products
• Develop and implement territory business plans with sales management
• Serve as a regional technical and sales expert
• Train, coach, mentor, and share information with sales team members
• Collaborate with CAM/FCS/TSC/PM colleagues using a team-selling approach
• Participate in strategic market analysis with colleagues, management, and Marketing
• Analyze data and prepare action plans addressing sales targets, product categories, and territory-specific situations
• Lead seminars and presentations
• Create sales tools supporting the sales team
• Operate as the go-to technical team lead
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to visit customers and prospects, solicit orders, demonstrate products, attend trade shows, and troubleshoot
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to support current and future business
• Use the CRM system to document customer interactions, appointments, and opportunities
• Complete business transaction and expense reports accurately and promptly
• Provide competitive and market trend information to management
• Maintain confidentiality of customers and technologies

• B.S. degree from a four-year college or university
• At least 5 years of sales experience in the life sciences environment
• Immunology and/or Molecular Biology background preferred
• Experience with a variety of sales concepts, practices and procedures
• Valid driver’s license
• Evidence of insurance/insurability
• Ability to receive appropriate clearance to access restricted government accounts
• Ability to handle more than one task at a time and work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail
• Ability to travel routinely by car and plane
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds (dual lift)
• Ability to follow strict safety guidelines and SOPs
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn when required
