Senior Data Engineer

• Work on different projects helping Astrafy customers get the most out of their data
• Work on both the business and technical sides of customer use cases
• Progressively assume Team Leader responsibilities for a squad of 5 team members
• Mentor team members, foster technical growth, and ensure high-quality project delivery
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines using Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud/Open Source tools
• Develop and optimize data infrastructure in Google Cloud for performance, cost, and security
• Use Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and manage containerized workloads
• Implement data governance, security, and quality measures across the data lifecycle
• Refine data architecture to support changing business needs and increased data volume and complexity
• Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging data technologies and industry best practices
• Champion innovation, learning, testing, and initiative-taking

• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with modern data stack tools such as Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and Google Cloud/Open Source tools, or similar
• Experience with scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure
• Experience with Google Cloud environment
• Experience using Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Experience managing containerized workloads
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and quality measures
• Motivation or proven capability to step into a leadership position
• Ability to progressively take charge of mentoring, guiding, and supporting 5 team members
• Curiosity and passion for emerging data technologies, practices, and frameworks
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments
• Fluent English
• Fluent Spanish
• Working knowledge of French is a plus
