Senior AWS Cloud Consultant

• Own AWS solution architecture, platform design and environment configuration
• Design, build and operate AWS infrastructure supporting production workloads
• Make decisions on AWS service selection, security, networking, scalability, resilience and operational management
• Drive infrastructure automation and standardisation using Infrastructure as Code
• Ensure cloud solutions are secure, maintainable and aligned to AWS best practices
• Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance
• Design and build integrations between Salesforce and AWS-hosted systems
• Implement synchronous API, EventBridge event-driven and S3-based batch integrations
• Lead migration from GitFlow to trunk-based deployment and promotion patterns
• Design and implement secure GitLab CI/CD practices
• Improve security scanning using Snyk and related tooling
• Establish monitoring, tracing, dashboards and alerting across AWS and Salesforce
• Leverage Amazon CloudWatch and improve operational visibility and platform reliability
• Lead and mentor engineers across the programme
• Establish technical standards, engineering practices and architectural governance
• Provide technical direction while remaining actively involved in delivery
• Communicate complex technical concepts to engineering and business stakeholders
• Collaborate with cloud, CRM, platform and business teams
• Set up and configure Google Cloud environments for data teams, including IAM, project configuration and foundational infrastructure for BigQuery and Google Analytics workloads

• 10+ years of cloud engineering, platform engineering or cloud architecture experience
• Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer, AWS Platform Engineer or AWS Solutions Architect
• Extensive experience designing, building and operating production AWS environments
• Demonstrable ownership of AWS infrastructure and architecture decisions
• Strong experience configuring and troubleshooting AWS services directly
• Experience making architectural, security and operational decisions for cloud platforms
• Strong knowledge of AWS networking, IAM, compute, storage, monitoring and security services
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK
• Strong GitLab CI/CD experience, including trunk-based deployment approaches
• Experience building integrations using API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge and S3
• Hands-on observability experience using CloudWatch, monitoring, tracing and alerting solutions
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Salesforce integration experience, including Platform Events, Change Data Capture and REST/Bulk APIs (advantageous)
• Google Cloud Platform experience, particularly IAM, BigQuery and project setup (advantageous)
• Experience with Snyk or similar SAST/SCA tooling (advantageous)
• Experience with AWS X-Ray, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Grafana or similar observability tooling (advantageous)
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate, Solutions Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional (advantageous)
• Experience delivering large-scale cloud transformation or platform modernisation initiatives (advantageous)
• Must have Matric/equivalent
