Freelance Project Manager – LATAM

• Plan and steer smart metering projects end-to-end across Latin America
• Track milestones, report project status, and manage delays
• Protect agreed project scope and manage customer change requests
• Identify when additional modules or licences are needed
• Manage utility stakeholders, local partners, international project teams, and internal technical teams
• Drive deliverables and technical clarifications with engineering and delivery teams
• Present to customers, run project meetings, and represent Cuculus on site
• Identify new needs and opportunities beyond project scope and hand them to the LATAM Sales team
• Travel regularly to customer sites, approximately 1 week per month

• 8+ years of project management experience
• Experience independently leading complex customer projects
• Experience handling scope disputes, change requests, demanding customers, and project budgets
• Experience in IT, software, telecom, smart metering, or AMI environments
• Hands-on experience with project management tools, ideally MS Project
• Business-fluent Spanish and English (B2-C1)
• Confident customer presentation skills and ability to handle difficult conversations
• Ability to work independently and reliably overlap with European business hours
• Willingness to travel approximately 1 week per month within Latin America
• Experience in technical sales or presales is a nice-to-have
• Experience managing projects for utilities or energy companies is a nice-to-have
• Portuguese is helpful for future Brazil projects
• Familiarity with AMI systems, MDMS, DLMS/COSEM, or RF Mesh is a nice-to-have
• Knowledge of utility standards and regulations in Latin America is a nice-to-have
