Senior Manager, Presales Engineering

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of 5 senior presales engineers
• Improve lower mid-market ERP sales productivity and deal flow by working deals while leading the team
• Discover customer requirements and build solutions incorporating core Acumatica software, ISV solutions, AI, and professional services
• Develop scalable processes involving Acumatica partners, internal sales teams, implementation, and professional services
• Maintain ERP domain expertise across accounting, construction, wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, field service, and professional services
• Personally maintain hands-on depth in one or more verticals
• Lead demonstrations and proposals directly within the relevant domain
• Lead technical discovery and solutioning on strategic opportunities
• Integrate core capabilities, AI, ISV solutions, and custom development into complete solution proposals and project plans
• Improve partner opportunity close rates through consulting and training
• Identify partner shortfalls and build enablement materials with the team and Acumatica education
• Translate company goals into measurable KPIs
• Build and monitor KPIs for opportunity win rates, sales cycle time, utilization, and skillset coverage
• Identify team shortfalls and plan corrective actions to meet and exceed sales targets
• Report to the VP of Presales Engineering and Architecture

• Direct, hands-on experience with implementations or sales or pre-sales within manufacturing, construction, and/or distribution lower-mid-market businesses (sub $100m)
• 5+ years of experience building a solution and demonstrating business management software solutions
• 5+ years of experience directly managing and mentoring a team of presales engineers
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and mentor presales engineers
• Understanding of lower mid-sized business operations
• Ability to architect solutions with multiple software products, resource constraints, integrations, and customizations
• Ability to listen, ask questions, identify customer issues, and solve ambiguous problems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience speaking in public and instructing in a classroom or small group
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Ability to travel 10%–20% of the time
• MBA a plus
• CPA a plus
• Channel sales environment experience a plus
• Technical background a plus
