Forward Deployed Engineer

• Own the whole lifecycle: analyze, design, implement, release, and operate
• Apply systems thinking to model dependencies and identify leverage points
• Make clear engineering decisions that turn ambiguity into shippable software
• Collaborate directly with customers, clients, product, design, and teammates
• Build with generative AI tools, evaluations, and company components
• Contribute new engineering patterns to the company blueprint
• Evaluate trade-offs, select patterns, create architecture designs, develop, and commit
• Pair daily with product and design to deliver shippable increments
• Build scalable services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontends
• Instrument, observe, and optimize systems in production
• Own reliability, scalability, performance, and availability
• Clarify client requirements, validate solutions, and close the loop
• Document clearly and present effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Senior-level expertise in designing, engineering, and implementing large-scale solutions
• Node.js + TypeScript
• React/Next.js
• PostgreSQL
• Python
• Rust or other programming languages
• Schema design
• Pragmatic caching
• Event-driven architectures using Kafka/Redis
• AWS or Azure
• Cloudflare experience, including Workers, Durable Objects, and KV, is excellent
• Systems thinking mindset
• Comfortable writing specifications, design documents, and ADRs
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to analyze, design, solution, and present
• Experience building internal platforms or templates that speed up other engineers
