Senior Backend Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend APIs using Python and Node.js
• Build API integrations that export and apply translated content using XLIFF
• Troubleshoot and resolve content model, identifier, and integration edge cases
• Develop solutions for structured content transformation across multiple services
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code following backend engineering best practices

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python and Node.js
• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of API integration and backend service architecture
• Experience working with structured content, document transformation, or data processing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with XLIFF and localization workflows (nice to have)
• Familiarity with Okapi Framework (nice to have)
• Experience working with XML and similar structured markup formats (nice to have)
• Exposure to content management or localization platforms (nice to have)
• Relevant certifications in backend development or localization technologies (nice to have)
• Required skills: NodeJS, Python, XML, API Design, XLIFF, OKAPI, Terraform
• Must be based in the Philippines
