Junior Compliance Operations Analyst

• Perform L1 Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on individual and corporate clients of BTSE Bhutan
• Manage and process the daily high-volume onboarding queue, reviewing and validating KYC/KYB documentation during initial sign-ups and periodic client reviews
• Compile EDD evidence packages and conduct periodic reviews of higher-risk clients
• Maintain clear, defensible, and accurate documentation of compliance reviews and decisions
• Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from internal teams, audit partners, and external stakeholders
• Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts according to internal risk thresholds
• Review and disposition name screening alerts and escalate potential matches
• Monitor, assess, and escalate suspicious or unusual activity
• Support suspicious activity investigations
• Assist with operational compliance procedures, queue management, and case workflows within L1/L2 frameworks
• Support regulatory inquiries, local compliance audits, and internal compliance reviews
• Provide feedback on alert trends, false positive rates, and potential control improvements
• Align operations with UTC+6 timezone coverage for South Asia markets

• Bhutanese national residing in Bhutan
• 2 - 4 years of experience in AML / Compliance Operations within digital asset platforms, fintech/payments, or traditional financial institutions
• Proven experience performing KYC/KYB reviews, transaction monitoring alert disposition, and name screening investigations
• Ability to execute operational compliance tasks independently and escalate complex cases appropriately
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Demonstrated capability to maintain clear, audit-ready, and defensible documentation for compliance decisions and investigations
• Nice-to-have: Experience in digital asset / crypto compliance environments
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, or Elliptic
• Nice-to-have: Foundational data capability, including structured datasets, basic SQL querying, or analyzing transaction patterns and monitoring outputs
• Nice-to-have: Relevant compliance certifications such as ACAMS CAMS, CAFCA, CTMA, or ICA
