Senior Software Engineer – Backend

• Write clear, well-tested, and modular code
• Architect features and services for operability and scalability
• Assist game teams with technology choices and implementation
• Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
• Work with project managers inside and outside the studio to deliver features to players
• Potentially add functionality in Unreal Engine
• Potentially automate infrastructure
• Potential growth paths include Tech Lead, Engineering Lead, Tech Area Expert, or a self-directed path

• Passion for games and entertainment
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years of professional backend services experience
• Experience writing backend services in an established framework such as Java Spring, ASP.NET, Node.js, Django, or similar
• Experience with cloud computing and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with a strongly-typed programming language such as C#, Java, C++, or similar
• Fluent in English
• Willingness to work according to US time zones and availability from 8am–3pm Pacific Time
• Strong, stable internet connection conducive to remote work and video calls
• Work authorization in the country where the candidate will work
