Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer, Ansible

• Write Ansible automation, including playbooks, roles, modules and collections
• Help shape automation practice standards, repository structure and code review processes
• Deliver patch management automation across Linux and Windows systems
• Develop deployment automation, configuration management and systems/process automation
• Bring automation into infrastructure transformation projects from the start
• Support, configure and manage the automation platform
• Conduct automation-related code review and maintenance across the team
• Configure and manage CI/CD for automation code
• Define and maintain the inventory and source of truth used by automation
• Introduce testing for automation code
• Work with estate-maintenance engineers to identify automation priorities
• Share knowledge with the team
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Maintain the client's Linux and Windows estate and deliver transformation projects as part of a 12+ person Polish engineering team
• Automate both the legacy estate and the new OpenStack platform

• Advanced knowledge and experience in using, configuring and maintaining automation platforms, preferably AAP/AWX
• Understanding best practices for writing and maintaining Ansible code and repositories
• Experience developing Ansible playbooks, roles and modules; maintaining Ansible collections
• Experience using Ansible to manage systems and processes at scale
• Advanced understanding of IaC principles
• Practical experience with patch management across both Linux and Windows systems
• Experience working across various Linux distributions
• Programming skills, preferably Python
• Solid Git and version control practice applied to automation code
• Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation
• English at C1 level
• OpenStack experience is a strong plus
• Experience consolidating scattered automation into a single, consistent practice is a plus
• Experience setting technical standards and getting a team to adopt them is a plus
• Good understanding of virtualization concepts is a plus
• Puppet experience is a plus
• Experience migrating from another configuration management tool to Ansible is a plus
• Testing frameworks for Ansible (e.g. Molecule) is a plus
• Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana) is a plus
• IPAM and IAM knowledge is a plus
• Basic networking, system firewalls and storage knowledge is a plus
• Red Hat / Ansible certifications are a plus
