Senior Applications Developer, Architect

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise applications and digital services
• Develop application architecture roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks
• Design scalable, secure, and resilient application solutions aligned with business requirements
• Produce and maintain high-level and detailed solution design documentation
• Lead application modernisation and cloud transformation initiatives
• Define and enforce software engineering standards, coding best practices, and development methodologies
• Design and implement enterprise integration solutions and APIs
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and third-party vendors to deliver strategic technology solutions
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assurance activities
• Support CI/CD, DevOps, and automation initiatives
• Ensure compliance with security, data protection, governance, and regulatory requirements
• Provide mentoring, technical leadership, and knowledge transfer to development teams

• 10+ years' experience in enterprise software development and application delivery
• 5+ years' experience in Solution Architecture or Application Architecture roles
• Strong background in Microsoft .NET technologies, including .NET Core and C#
• Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, application integration, and service-oriented architecture
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server database design and optimisation
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments
• Experience implementing secure application development and architecture practices
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience within Public Sector, Financial Services, or Regulatory environments
• Experience with Power Platform and Azure Integration Services
• Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture experience
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Microsoft Azure certifications
• Experience participating in enterprise digital transformation programmes

• 12-month day rate contract
