Social Media Manager

• Manage and grow VALD’s European social media presence day to day
• Plan, coordinate and publish engaging social content across primarily English-language channels
• Bring VALD’s products, people, customers and expertise to life through social content
• Manage the community and engage meaningfully with practitioners, organisations and professionals across Europe
• Support local Business Development Managers in building their professional social media presence
• Assist with content creation, guidance, best practices and regional content sharing
• Work between local European teams and the global marketing team
• Build awareness of VALD and promote its products, services and expertise across Europe
• Maintain a consistent cadence of high-quality, locally relevant content
• Grow awareness, reach and engagement among key audiences
• Build active and meaningful engagement with European communities
• Uphold VALD’s global brand, style and voice in the European market
• Empower local BDMs to create and share effective social content
• Identify and amplify regional customer stories, events and opportunities
• Use performance insights to improve content and channel effectiveness

• 2–5 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content marketing, or a similar role
• Demonstrated experience managing professional or brand social media accounts
• Strong written English
• Ability to turn technical or complex topics into clear, engaging social content
• Good understanding of major social platforms, particularly Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook
• Experience creating, coordinating and scheduling social content across multiple channels
• Strong community management skills
• Understanding of authentic brand participation in professional online communities
• Confidence working with stakeholders across different teams, markets and levels of seniority
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple content streams and priorities
• Analytical mindset and understanding of social media reporting and performance metrics
• Proactive approach and ability to identify stories and content opportunities
• Background checks, including identity and criminal record checks, must return acceptable results as a condition of employment
• European-language proficiency in addition to English is preferred, especially Spanish, Italian, German and/or French
• Experience across multiple European markets is desirable
• Experience in health, sport, technology, SaaS or another technical industry is desirable
• Experience supporting employee advocacy or sales-team professional presence is desirable
• Experience engaging and coordinating with Key Opinion Leaders/influencers is desirable
• Basic photography, video or social-first creative skills are desirable
• Familiarity with HootSuite, AgoraPulse, Sprout Social or similar platforms is desirable
