Belgian French Multimedia Content Reviewer

• Localize, translate, and adapt multimedia, legal, technical, and marketing content according to style guides and guidelines
• Write copy for music, TV, App Store applications, video-on-demand, and game subscription products
• Review linguistic work performed by self and other localization team members
• Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy
• Perform Localization QA testing on content published on live platforms
• Research market-specific content treatment, product and terminology trends, and localization practices
• Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics
• Report on data and assets across media and content types
• Review linguistic assessments and create training materials and documents for new projects
• Train localization team counterparts on terminology, style, and best practices
• Collaborate with global language teams through virtual meetings and email to calibrate terminology and style and share market insights

• BS/BA and 2+ years of work experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV and applications, with proof of writing samples
• Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content
• Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies from a massive sea of content and make sound judgement calls based on information at hand
• Wide-ranging knowledge of music artists, TV and cinema, gaming, and pop culture
• Ability to own a language market and make confident linguistic decisions
• Highly detail-oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Fluency in written and verbal English
• Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS systems is a plus
• Ability to type in a native-level language using a local English keyboard
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Collaborative and comfortable working in a multicultural environment
