Architect – InsuranceSuite

• Own the design and delivery of one Functional or Integration workstream on a customer program
• Turn business requirements into designs for medium-complexity product gaps and enhancements
• Estimate work accurately and explain trade-offs
• Define, plan and deliver the workstream, including backlog shaping, quality reviews and commitments
• Write production-quality configuration and code in Gosu and Java on Guidewire Cloud Platform
• Lead code and design reviews against Guidewire Cloud standards
• Identify risks and issues early and present facts, analysis and options to customers and project teams
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools in design, configuration, integration and testing
• Mentor junior consultants and customer or partner developers
• Communicate with project managers, product owners and customer architects
• Share reusable assets, knowledge articles and internal sessions with the practice
• Configure PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter across the insurance lifecycle for functional tracks
• Use Advanced Product Designer and product-definition patterns to model and change products
• Design and build integrations using Cloud API, Integration Gateway, App Events and messaging
• Connect InsuranceSuite to customer systems and third parties
• Own integration contracts, error handling and non-functional behaviour including performance, resilience and security
• Progress toward Senior Architect through mentoring and project exposure

• 5+ years delivering core insurance or enterprise systems
• At least 3 years hands-on with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter)
• Delivery across most implementation phases, including Inception, build, stabilisation and go-live
• Strong knowledge of one InsuranceSuite product and working understanding of at least one other
• Proficiency in Gosu and Java
• Git-based delivery and CI/CD experience, such as TeamCity or Jenkins
• Experience leading a small team or workstream, including reviewing other people's work
• Good understanding of P&C insurance operations: policy, claims and billing
• Clear written and spoken English
• Comfort working directly with customer stakeholders
• Guidewire ACE certification in at least one InsuranceSuite product, or ability to obtain one within six months of joining
• A degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• AWS or other cloud certification is a plus
• Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform or self-managed-to-cloud migration is nice to have
• Experience with Jutro, Guidewire Data Platform, or the wider Guidewire portfolio is nice to have
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants or agents is nice to have
• Agile delivery experience, including Scrum Master or delivery-lead experience, is nice to have
• Knowledge of the ANZ insurance market and regulatory context such as APRA is nice to have
