Senior Workflow Automation Engineer

• Help build the automation landscape centered around n8n
• Develop, operate, and optimize workflows for recurring tasks, process chains, and cross-functional operations
• Analyze business processes together with specialist departments and process managers
• Identify automation opportunities and prioritize them based on business impact, technical feasibility, and scalability potential
• Translate business requirements into stable, production-ready end-to-end workflows
• Take ownership of automation solutions from requirements gathering and implementation through operation, monitoring, optimization, and further development
• Integrate internal and external systems via APIs and common data formats
• Establish quality standards, governance structures, review processes, and reusable components
• Enable colleagues to understand, further develop, or implement automations themselves
• Help shape VALUE AG’s automation strategy within the Hypoport network

• Several years of hands-on experience with n8n in a production business environment
• Proven track record of building, operating, and further developing business-critical automations
• Strong programming skills, e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript or Python
• Solid understanding of frontend technologies
• Experience with API integrations and data formats
• Knowledge of modern automation and integration architectures
• Understanding of technical interdependencies and business requirements
• Ability to assess effort, benefits, risks, and scalability potential
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Strong sense of ownership
• Confident communication with specialist departments, process owners, and stakeholders
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and understandably
• German at least at C1 level
• English at least at B1 level
• Experience with UiPath, RPA, or migrating existing automation solutions is a plus
• Experience with browser automation, e.g. Puppeteer or comparable technologies, is a plus
