Account Management Specialist

• Work closely with the Account Leader, Pre-Sales Engineering, Operations, global support, Product Line Management, and other teams
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to drive steady revenue growth for assigned accounts
• Support identification and management of relationships within complex customer organizations
• Assist with solution positioning, pricing and commercial proposals, and contract negotiations
• Prepare and deliver presentations to internal teams and customers
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities
• Support account and regional sales efforts
• Develop understanding of customer business models and priorities
• Collaborate with product marketing, product management, and sales operations to meet sales goals
• Drive product presentations and demonstrations within Ciena and client organizations
• Assist with RFP, RFI, and quotation responses
• Collect and communicate customer feature requirements to global teams
• Own assigned responsibilities and proactively escalate issues when needed

• Solid techno-commercial understanding
• Foundational account management skills
• Experience supporting sales in complex environments
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• Technical knowledge in the Telecom industry, especially Optical
• Routing and Switching knowledge is nice to have
• 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, solution selling, system engineering, product management, or a related role (nice to have)
• Demonstrated ability to support sales processes and contribute to closing deals
• Technical background in Telecom, particularly in Optical, Routing, and Switching
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Basic understanding of market and competitor dynamics
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure
