English to Romanian Linguist, Copy Editor – Product, Marketing, UI Content

• Translate, copy-edit, and perform MTPE for marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and legal content
• Support an exciting, long-term project with a leading multinational company
• Handle an expected volume of 5,000+ words per week
• Use the client-specific CAT tool, with training provided during onboarding
• Collaborate on high-visibility international projects
• Maintain a long-term partnership with Welo Global

• Native or near-native proficiency in Malay with excellent command of English
• 2+ years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree
• Demonstrated experience translating English to Malay across informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content
• Experience using CAT tools
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced localization environment
• Strong communication skills, responsiveness, reliability, and openness to feedback and revisions
• Ability to work as a freelancer/independent contractor
