Sourcing Specialist – SEA

• Identify, assess, and establish new suppliers for required commodities and components in line with Victaulic procedures and business practices
• Manage approved Asian suppliers, including capacity, price, lead time, stock, delivery, packaging, logistics, and communication
• Coordinate with QA and Engineering to resolve supplier quality issues
• Analyze and interpret Asian quote packages representing global requirements, including Asian plants
• Negotiate and agree global supply contracts for selected commodities and components
• Communicate updated Victaulic requirements, practices, and processes to Asian suppliers
• Search for, identify, and develop new suppliers
• Obtain, negotiate, and present supplier quotations
• Issue sample or pattern orders after quotation approval
• Follow up sampling processes and interact with QA and suppliers throughout the sample process
• Work cross-functionally and perform necessary purchasing tasks as a Sourcing Specialist

• Hands-on sourcing experience including supplier identification, development and qualifications
• Supplier performance scorecard management
• Fundamental products and manufacturing knowledge of ductile iron casting, fabrication and various valves used in piping systems
• Knowledge of physical properties of materials and engineering techniques used in new product development and product operations
• Ability to read blueprints
• PC literate and able to use Microsoft Office software applications
• Sound presentation skills at all levels
• Self-motivated, results-driven/goal-oriented, customer-focused, and possessing a sense of urgency
• Willingness to travel across the Southeast Asia region and work flexibly as needed
• Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Fluency in English and Chinese, verbally and in written communications
• A plus for working in a cross-functional environment and/or in a global culture
