Video Editor, Freelance

• Edit approximately two long-form YouTube videos per week from client-provided raw footage
• Organize footage and assemble sequences based on reference content and creative direction
• Apply revisions and incorporate feedback
• Repurpose long-form footage into short-form social media clips and trial reels
• Create content variations while preserving intended messaging and visual quality
• Deliver approximately 20 hours of short-form editing and 20 hours of long-form editing per week
• Match provided YouTube references and examples closely
• Review work for pacing, audio, and visual consistency before delivery
• Manage revisions and organize project files
• Deliver completed videos on schedule
• Communicate proactively and ask clarifying questions
• Participate in team check-ins and video meetings with camera on

• Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience editing long-form YouTube content and creating short-form clips
• Strong English comprehension to understand scripts, context, and creative instructions
• Good storytelling instincts, visual judgment, attention to detail, and openness to feedback
• Reliable attendance and accountability
• Willingness to join video meetings with the camera on
• Ability to work about 40 hours per week
• Professional editing in Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software
• Knowledge of pacing, cuts, transitions, and audio cleanup for YouTube-style content
• Ability to reframe and repurpose horizontal footage into vertical short-form clips
• Ability to create captions, text, and music as required by the style
• Organized project files, version control, and backups
• Computer with at least 8GB RAM and an Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processor or higher
• Internet speed of at least 40MBPS
• Headset with an extended noise-cancelling microphone and webcam
• Back-up computer and internet connection
• Quiet, dedicated workspace at home
