Backend Developer – Telematics Infrastructure (TI)

• Develop and maintain backend systems based on PHP or Kotlin
• Work with MySQL databases
• Design, implement, and document REST APIs using OpenAPI
• Further develop integrations with the Telematics Infrastructure, particularly e-prescriptions and KIM
• Integrate a Kotlin-based e-prescription client with FHIR-based functionality
• Analyze complex specifications and develop reliable, maintainable, and testable solutions
• Connect internal applications with external partners and ensure seamless data exchange
• Identify technical issues, resolve errors, and keep production systems stable
• Independently manage TI-related topics and coordinate technical dependencies
• Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to implement new requirements

• Extensive experience with PHP or Kotlin
• Knowledge of Laravel is an advantage but not required
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software architecture, and design patterns
• Proficiency in working with REST APIs
• Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into functioning applications
• Experience working with established software structures and enhancing existing codebases
• Ability to read and understand FHIR-based specifications
• Experience using modern AI tools and coding agents
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Willingness to take responsibility
• Strong commitment to quality, including security, data protection, regulatory requirements, and traceability
• Excellent German skills, at least C1 level
• Very good command of English
• Ideally, experience with Telematics Infrastructure, e-prescriptions, KIM, ePA, FHIR/HL7, gematik specifications, pharmacy processes, or certificate-based authentication
• Knowledge of operating and monitoring production systems is an advantage
