Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Quality Platform

• Leverage AI and tooling to lead implementation of a test automation strategy across unit, service, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Build, maintain, and effectively utilize automated tests for features and releases
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure robust test coverage and continuously improve testing processes
• Improve existing automation frameworks to support new functionalities and optimize quality and efficiency
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the CI/CD team
• Troubleshoot, isolate issues, verify bug fixes, and debug issues found during testing and after release
• Ensure code quality, commitment to craft, and operational excellence
• Collaborate with product management, development, and other Quality Engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
• Develop and maintain quality engineering processes that scale for Airbnb’s external customers and internal teams

• 5+ years of industry experience in software engineering and testing
• Demonstrable knowledge of at least one web development language, such as TypeScript or JavaScript
• Comfort working in a backend language, such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go
• Strong knowledge of test automation methodologies, tools, and frameworks
• Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks, such as Playwright or Cypress
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as Buildkite, Spinnaker, or Jenkins
• Experience with version control systems, including Git
• Experience using quality signals such as coverage, flaky test rate, suite execution time, and escaped defects
• Excellent communication skills for facilitating cross-functional interactions
• Expertise developing solutions to ambiguous problems and integrations across multiple teams
• Curiosity about applying AI/LLMs to testing and developer productivity
• Comfortable collaborating in English
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent
