Database Administrator III

• Propose and implement improvements to database technologies by evaluating trends, reviewing architectures, and applying solutions to increase efficiency and scalability
• Oversee updates; monitor performance and security; lead technical processes; validate results; and adjust configurations
• Lead proactive performance analyses and routine optimization by conducting diagnostics, applying tuning techniques, and adjusting systems
• Comply with information security policies; control access; review permissions; structure controls; and audit activities
• Manage vendor relationships; oversee deliverables and quality; negotiate scopes; monitor execution; and validate solutions
• Propose, implement, and monitor backup, restore, and monitoring policies
• Lead database migration projects, including cloud migrations
• Develop process automation and optimize routines
• Perform other duties related to the position

• Availability to work from 3:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. (200 hours)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or a related field
• Experience with Oracle databases
• Completed graduate specialization in Computer Science or a related field is a plus
• Oracle database certifications are a plus
• Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, including replication, clusters, and cloud environments (AWS), is a plus
• Knowledge of performance management, SQL, automation, backup routines, updates, and highly complex procedures is a plus
• Knowledge of Linux, UNIX (AIX), and Windows operating systems is a plus
