Senior Security Researcher

• Analyze malware, investigate cyber campaigns, monitor botnets, review exploit logs, and contribute to intelligence pipelines
• Explore new ideas, technologies, and techniques through theory and practical application
• Develop LLM workflows and AI agents to process unstructured intelligence, analyze adversary behaviors, and enhance the threat intelligence platform
• Conduct CVE and vulnerability assessments
• Research emerging attack tools, techniques, and procedures and identify defensive strategies
• Produce and present intelligence or research for internal security teams, customer security groups, and the broader security community
• Develop research tools for collecting and analyzing intelligence from internal and external sources
• Collaborate with Security Architects, Researchers, and Software Engineers to improve Akamai systems' resilience against adversaries
• Support evaluation, mitigation, and reduction of security risks and vulnerabilities

• Expertise in computer and network security, computer science, mathematics, or engineering
• Knowledge of penetration testing methodologies, techniques, tools, and cybersecurity assessment applications
• Comprehensive understanding of security technologies, processes, and concepts
• Expertise in TCP, UDP, HTTP, and DNS protocols
• Technical aptitude and commitment to continuous learning
• Comprehensive understanding of cybercrime, cyberwarfare, underground networks, and associated groups
• Ability to conduct dark web research and uncover indicators
