Senior Software Engineer, Java

• Responsibility for core components, such as the workflow engine
• Further development of core components, ensuring their reliable operation and integration with applications
• Developing frontend and backend features and user stories, from design through to production deployment
• Working closely with Product Owners and testers to deliver user-friendly, high-performance features
• Ensuring code quality, testability, and maintainability through Clean Code, automated testing, and code reviews
• Analyzing, designing, and developing new functionality based on current technology standards
• Maintaining, expanding, and modernizing existing software components

• Degree in Computer Science from a university of applied sciences or ETH, or equivalent training, combined with several years of professional experience in agile software development
• Strong knowledge of Java technologies
• Experience developing and enhancing workflow solutions
• Strong expertise in architecture, design patterns, and modern software engineering practices such as Scrum, Clean Code, and Clean Architecture
• Solid knowledge of containerization, cloud technologies, and DevOps
• Knowledge of web applications, particularly Angular, is an advantage
• Team player with strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional knowledge of occupational pension schemes (BVG) is an advantage but not required
