Tech Lead, Java, Spring Boot – FinTech

• Take technical ownership of your area, from architecture through to production operations
• Define target architectures and make architecture and build-versus-buy decisions
• Establish technical guidelines for the Java/Spring Boot and Angular/TypeScript ecosystems
• Challenge existing solutions and evolve systems in a targeted manner
• Work closely with Product and stakeholders, translating business objectives into technical approaches
• Critically assess requirements and make dependencies and risks transparent
• Evaluate the potential of AI and integrate it where it creates genuine value
• Own the technical perspective across discovery and delivery, with a focus on architecture, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Maintain code and quality standards and ensure fast, reliable releases
• Identify structural weaknesses early and ensure stability, maintainability, and transparency in production operations
• Enable experienced developers through sparring, feedback, and shared technical guidelines
• Provide open, clear, and inspiring technical leadership, particularly during periods of change

• Several years of experience developing complex software systems and providing technical leadership, for example as a Tech Lead, Senior Engineer, or Staff Engineer
• Strong instinct for architecture, system design, and sustainable technical decisions in established systems landscapes
• Experience collaborating with Product and stakeholders and translating business requirements into technical tasks
• Several years of experience with Java/Spring Boot
• Ideally, knowledge of TypeScript/Angular
• Proficiency with APIs, integrations, distributed systems, and CI/CD
• Experience developing software for production environments
• High standards for code quality, clear technical principles, and test coverage
• Good understanding of stability, scalability, and maintainability in production operations
• Interest in the pragmatic adoption of new technologies and the meaningful integration of AI into products
• At least business-fluent German (C1), both written and spoken
