Appointment Verification & Patient Scheduling Coordinator, Cardiology

• Review upcoming clinical schedules in Epic to verify appointment statuses
• Conduct high-volume outbound confirmation calls and identify reschedules and cancellations
• Document patient communications in Epic and escalate urgent patient or clinical concerns to the care team
• Identify and track overdue, canceled, or no-show cardiology patients
• Execute structured, multi-attempt outreach campaigns to reactivate and reschedule patients
• Maintain follow-up lists in Epic until visits are secured or files are formally closed
• Provide warm, persistent outreach to senior patients
• Answer incoming scheduling calls and handle reschedules and basic visit logistics
• Take clear messages, route clinical questions to cardiology staff, and follow up on pending inquiries
• Communicate clearly, professionally, empathetically, patiently, and confidently with patients

• 2+ years supporting a U.S. medical practice in appointment scheduling, patient recall/reactivation, and outbound confirmation calls
• Hands-on EMR/EHR experience
• Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines
• Dedicated, quiet home office
• Noise-canceling headset
• High-speed internet
• Comfort with web-based VOIP phone systems
• Self-motivated with strong follow-through to manage large recall lists independently
• Preferred: Direct, recent experience using Epic
• Preferred: Background in Cardiology or managing care for older patient demographics
• Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish, fluent in both languages
• Preferred: High-volume outbound calling experience paired with front-office/receptionist background
