Business Data Analyst

• Define data requirements with stakeholders and source, prepare, and validate data from multiple systems and sources
• Clean, transform, and analyse complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, root causes, and insights
• Set and uphold standards for accuracy and consistency of outputs
• Summarise findings clearly and concisely and translate analysis into actionable recommendations
• Flag risks and opportunities proactively and follow through on recommendation adoption
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product teams as a trusted analytical advisor
• Identify data quality, system, and process improvement opportunities
• Build business cases and drive implementation with the Business Analysis team and relevant stakeholders
• Lead rollout and adoption of new reporting, tools, and processes
• Assess and document impacts, coordinate updates to deliverables, and guide stakeholders through transitions
• Keep up with developments in data analysis methods and tools
• Champion AI tools for data preparation, analysis, reporting, documentation, and automation
• Identify and pilot new AI use cases and coach colleagues across the team

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role
• Proven track record of independently delivering complex, stakeholder-ready analysis that influences business decisions
• Experience in a SaaS or technology company is an advantage
• Experience in product analytics is an advantage
• Experience working with AI data products or applying AI tools in analytical workflows is an advantage
• Ability to interpret complex data accurately and translate findings into clear, business-relevant insights and recommendations
• Ability to explain analytical concepts and conclusions to non-technical and senior stakeholders without losing rigour
• Ability to maintain high standards of data quality and accuracy
• Ability to resolve complex data quality and integration issues independently
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI or a comparable BI platform
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Fluent English is required
• Valid work/residence permit for Germany or the UK
