LATAM Business Development Manager – Autonomous Operations for Mining

• Act as the primary interface with mining customers across Latin America
• Understand customer operational challenges and translate them into Autonomous Operations solutions
• Lead consultative engagements with key accounts and design tailored automation, digital, and AI solutions
• Develop and articulate solution architecture for Autonomous Operations
• Collaborate with R&D and internal teams to drive solution development and align market demand with the product roadmap
• Identify customer pain points and build value propositions from concept through solution design
• Navigate C-level conversations and position ABB as a strategic partner for autonomous mining operations
• Support the go-to-market strategy for Autonomous Operations in the mining segment, focusing on concentrator plants

• Deep expertise in the mining industry, with solid knowledge of mineral processing operations, especially concentrator plants
• Proven experience in automation and/or digital solutions applied to industrial environments
• Strong executive-level communication skills and ability to engage, influence, and build trust with C-level stakeholders
• Analytical and consultative mindset; ability to listen, synthesize complex information, and translate it into structured solution designs
• Fluent/Advanced proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and English
• Availability for frequent travel, minimum 50% of the time, across Brazil, Peru, Chile, and the broader LATAM region
• Experience with AI/ML-based solutions or predictive analytics applied to industrial operations is a differentiator
• Familiarity with ABB's automation portfolio, including ABB Ability™ System 800xA and MineOptimize, is a differentiator
• Previous experience in business development, pre-sales, or solution consulting in the mining or heavy industry sector is a differentiator
• Background in remote operations centers or integrated operations environments is a differentiator
